We put our house on the market with another realtor. Ick. Sounds kinda bland, doesn't it. Almost cold and put off... Honestly, words cannot describe how wonderful Carol was to work with, so this testimonial will likely not do her justice. However, without her and the help of her team, it's likely that we'd be living under a bridge somewhere off the East-West Toll way (I-88). I took a job in Chicago in August of 2006 and as such, my family had to relocate from our first, purchased home near Nashville, TN BACK to the Chicago-land area. My wife and I put our house on the market in Tennessee and waited...and waited...it took just over 60 or so days to sell, but then it hit us... Holy smokes! We don't have any place to live!

My wife, Michelle, was at the grocery store and called me from her cell phone after that realization hit her, "you'd better get on the internet and look at one of those home listings I've been sending you," she said. "We need to find a real estate agent."

It was Sunday night, and after 9pm. Not good... I didn't think I'd be able to find anyone to help me that late on a Sunday night. I pulled open one of the many listings my wife had sent me and looked at the listing agent. I tried calling the agent in the first listing and got an answering machine. I left a message and moved on. I sent a quick e-mail to the agent in the next listing; and we traded a few messages back and forth. It was obvious to me, that she was on line and working. I called the agent and got Carol...

"Hello, this is Carol..."

I introduced myself and explained our situation. My wife and I were scheduled to fly to Chicago-Midway the next morning. I asked her if she had time to show us some properties. We needed to buy a house by the end of the week and schedule our move. We must have talked for over an hour.

Carol immediately went into over drive mode. She and my wife worked together to identify homes for us to see, starting at about 11am the very next day. Carol showed us 50 properties in 4 days all over the Naperville-Aurora-Plainfield-Oswego-Montgomery area. As we were rookies buying a home in Illinois, she helped us find a lawyer and mortgage broker. Carol helped us with all of the minute details that we didn't even have any idea needed attending to. Our move would have been a huge disaster without her help and knowledge.

Not only did she show us 50 properties in 4 days, but she helped us find schools, local resources for home improvements, and a hundred-million other things that I'm forgetting now that I'm trying to write it all down. We flew in on a Monday, saw 50 homes, picked one, and Carol negotiated the best deal for us. We came to terms that Friday evening, just four and a half days later.
